We need to talk
It’s like this… It’s not that I don’t love you. Its just that our relationship isn’t mature enough for me to be honest with you…yet. So, I’ll just be forthright.
At first, I thought I didn’t want you; but, that was the selfish part of me that was comfortable with the way things were.
See, as of late, I’ve been prioritizing me. You’ll understand one day. I made a decision to do the best I can with what I’ve got and pursue my goals with a merciless intensity.
And I didn’t want you to be in the way. But, I see things differently now.
You’re a blessing to me. A sign of the fruitful nature of a beautiful relationship. So, I’ve decided to spend the rest of my life with you. I’m not asking you, I’m telling you.
I’ll be right here, forever.
With you I’ll be better than I was before. A sum greater than its parts. With you as my inspiration, motivation and determination to succeed for the greater good of us.
We’ll grow together. We’ll argue. We’ll go away. We’ll come back. Because here is where you belong. Where I’ve always been and where I’ll always be. Here for you…my child.
See you in November. Round 3. Daddy’s got some work to do.

Hell yeah!

WHAT?!!!

The scale of Africa on most map projections is extremely misleading. Here are many landmasses compared to-scale with Africa.
I had to re-post this because it’s so dope. Still think you’re a minority? Think global.

You don’t have to understand it
But you do have to respect it.
Life is a journey of self-discovery and self-expression. You don’t get to be the best you can be by succumbing to the influence of others. Certainly there are people who motivate and inspire - even those who help mold you. However, I’d implore you to do some introspection and determine yourself to grow into what you’re intended to become.
We’re all born with a gift and a purpose.
Some people live their whole lives and never realize the talents and skills they posses. I simply refuse to be one of them. Sure, there are plenty of things I’m capable of doing but that doesn’t mean they’re meant for me.
Just because you can function doesn’t mean you’re living.
You ever look up and look at all your accomplishments and realize that you’re still unhappy? That sucks. Nothing feels as good as the peace that comes with a spirit of contentment.
People are placed in your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.
You’re a reflection of the people to which you’re the closest. Oftentimes, I’ll find myself frustrated with my children because they’re so stubborn and opinionated (how’re you two y/o with an opinion?) only to realize that they got it honest. Naturally. Straight from the source. I’ve loved many and lost many along the way, friends, family, etc. What you take away from those experiences is their impression on you. Their presence in your life made you evaluate you. Cherish the time spent and don’t squander the experience.
Life is a sequence of moments all called now.
If you want to do something - do it. If you want to see something - see it. If you want to be something - be it. If something’s never been done, never been seen, or has never been then you’ve got something special. Start developing it - now. If it never becomes manifest you’ve got no one to blame but yourself.
I live my life because I’m all I’ve got. You don’t have to understand it. But you do have to respect it.
